Obituaries

OCEANA-Betty Lou Lambert 82, departed this life May 27, 2010, at her home following a long illness.

 Born June 22, 1927, in Lorado she was the daughter of the late W.T. and Bernice Sowards Lambert.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Clacey G. Lambert, Sr.; and a son Robert Lambert.

 Mrs. Lambert was a devoted mother and homemaker, she accepted Christ at the age of 13; and attended Turkey Ridge Baptist Church. Mrs. Lambert enjoyed serving the Lord; and sending greeting cards to family and friends.

 Those left to cherish her memory are a son, Clacey G. Lambert, Jr., and wife, Shirley of Oceana; a daughter, Lottie Louise Skinner and husband, Hunter of Scottown, OH.; daughter-in-law, Linda Lambert of Oceana; a sister, Eloise Wagner of Proctorville, OH.; four grandchildren, Gregory Sean Acord and wife, Monica of Lewisburg, WV., Clacey L. Lambert and wife Tiffany of Matheny, Jason Lambert and wife, Jessica of Douglasville, GA., and Christopher S. Lambert of Boloxi, MI; six great-grandchildren, Emily Brooke Lambert, Robert L. Lambert, Ryan L. Lambert, Paige N. Acord, Jonathan Acord and Trinity Lambert; and a host of family and friends.

 A celebration of Mrs. Lambert's life will be 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at Adam Toler Memorial Chapel with Rev. Johnny Jones and Randall Topping officiating.  Mrs. Lambert will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny.

 Casketbearers will be Gregory Sean Acord, Clacey G. Lambert, Jason Lambert, Christopher Lambert, Billy R. Lambert and Jeremiah Lambert.

 Honorary caskerbearers will be Gregory H. Lambert and Jonathan Acord.

 The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

 A special Thank you to her caregivers, Linda Christian of Lynco, Linda Stewart of Pineville and Amedisys Hospice Services of Bluefield.
