CYCLONE-Mary W. Elkins 78, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, March 11, 2010, following a long illness.

Born November 11, 1931, Dunlow, WV she was the daughter of the late Millard F. and Sena Jane Maynard.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by first husband, Forest H. Sams; second husband, Charles Pierce Elkins; a son, Forest E. Sams; four brothers, Roy, Jennings, Floyd and Millard F. Maynard, Jr.; five sisters, Anna Brannon, Lizzie Hundley, Hazel Crum, Lois Maynard and Elsie Whitt.

Those left to cherish her memory are a son, Leonard Elkins and wife Jo; five daughters, Jeannie Elkins Casamento, Sue Goode and husband, Mike, Linda Sams Peake, Vicky Elkins and Teresa Browning and husband, Brad; a sister, Ida Maynard Lester of Ohio; grandchildren, Phillip Casamento, Greg Casamento, Tara Casamento, Christopher Goode, Shannon Goode Woffin, Sabrina Elkins, Terri Sams, Tina Sams Parsons, and Ethan Peake; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends

A celebration of Mrs. Elkins' life will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 15, 2010, at Adam Toler Memorial Chapel with Rev. Clyde Robertson officiating.  Mrs. Elkins will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV.

Casketbearers will be Brad Browning, Ethan Peake, Christopher Goode, Glen Browning, Louis Peake and Michael Goode.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, March 14, 2010 at the funeral home.
