<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://www.adamtolermemorialfuneralhome.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/118_115376.jpg" alt="Richard Earl &quot;Dick&quot; Powell" />NORTH CAROLINA-Richard Earl &quot;Dick&quot; Powell 66, departed this life Wednesday, February 15, 2012 in a North Carolina hospital following a long illness.
 
Born May 21, 1945 in Kopperston he was child number five of twelve children born to the late Theodore &quot;Red&quot; and Opal Brown Powell.
 
Dick was a 1963 graduate of Oceana High School and the Wyoming County Career and Technical Center, a veteran of the US Army, having served in South Korea.  While working as draftsman in Washington, DC he attended college and became an engineer, he worked in the Washington, DC area, Baton Rouge, LA., Houston, TX., Columbus and Cleveland, Ohio.  He was a retired engineer having last worked for the RN&amp;M Engineers of Waynesville, NC.  He was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed spending time with his brothers and sisters.
 
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two wives, Carol Powell and Kathleen Powell; four brothers, Charles, Mitchell, Wavel and David Paul Powell.
 
Those left to cherish his memory are four brothers, Thurman Powell and his wife, Dreama of Ohio, James Powell and wife, Darlene of Flordia, Randy Powell and his wife, Susan of Saulsville and Timmy Powell of Kopperston; three sisters, Wilda Powell, Betty Powell and Amy Powell all of Kopperston; two sister-in-laws, Lou Emma Powell of NC., and Lois Powell of Cyclone; step-daughter, Mary Hampton and her husband, Mark of NC.; two step-grandsons, Andrew and Nathan Marsh of NC.; several nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.
 
A celebration of Dick&#039;s life will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday, February 19, 2012, at Adam Toler Memorial Chapel with Rev. Raybon Cook &amp; Rev. James Hamrick officiating.  Burial will follow in Kopperston Community Cemetery, Kopperston, WV.
 
Casketbearers will be family and friends.
 
The family will recieve friends from noon until time of service at the funeral home.

Born July 23, 1952, in Oceana he was the son of the late Homer and Darlene Daniels.
 
Jimmie was a member of Bright Prospect Missionary Baptist Church, enjoyed camping, fishing, and loved going to his grandkids ball games and spending time with them.
 
Those left to cherish his memory are two sons, Jimmie &quot;Tig&quot; Daniels of Harrisville, and Richard Daniels and wife, Melisha of Glen Fork; two step-daughters, Jennifer Gunnoe and husband Curtis, of Glen Fork and Laura Lambert and husband, Steve of Welch Pineville Road; a brother, Lee Daniels and wife, Trianna &quot;Bug&quot; of Cyclone; two sisters, Gail Osborne of Cyclone and Tammy Daniels of Bradshaw; five grandchildren, Kari Gunnoe, Little Curt Gunnoe, Gavin Roberts, Kylie Daniels and Cole Lambert; and a host of family and friends.
 
A celebration of Jimmie&#039;s life will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Adam Toler Memorial Chapel with Rev. Lucian Brown officiating.  Jimmie will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV.
 
Casketbearers will be family and friends.
 
The family received friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Born February 8, 1920, in Cyclone she was the daughter of the late  John Richard and Emma Bailey.


In addtion to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Wooten; and a son, George Richard Wooten; several brothers and sisters.


Mrs. Wooten was a homemaker, a member of Lacoma Baptist Church.  She was a friend to all who knew her and will be dearly missed.


Those left to cherish her memory are four sons, James L. Overton, and wife Dorothy of Cyclone, Clarence H. Wooten and wife, Drema of Beaver, John Wooten and wife, Debra of Alderson and Terry Wooten of Cyclone, with whom she made her home; two sisters, Violet Miller and Versie Brown both of Cyclone; eight grandchildren; two-greatgrandchildren; special friend, Ramona White; several nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.


A celebration of Mrs. Wooten&#039;s life will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 23, 2012 at Lacoma Baptist Church with Rev. Merle Walls officiating.  Mrs. Wooten will be laid to rest in Cook Cemetery, Cyclone.


The family will receive friends from noon until time of service Monday at the church.

Born May 21, 1954, in Mullens he was the son of the late Ola and Glacie Reed.

Doug was a disabled coal miner, enjoyed hunting, spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

Those lef to cherish his memory are his wife, Sharon Lusk Reed of Mullens; a daughter, Kim Martin and her husband, Jeff of Oceana; two grandchildren, Derick Martin and Kristy Martin of Oceana; nine brothers and sisters, Loma Adkins of Bud, Shirley Rash of Glen Morgan, Denny Reed and wife Judy of Herndon, James Reed and wife, Ann of Herndon, Eva McClure of Ohio, Roger Reed of Pineville, Kathy Walls and husband, Ray of Stevenson, Floyd Reed of Herndon, Ray Reed of Herndon, and Susy Reed of Herndon; several nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.

A celebration of Doug&#039;s life will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Adam Toler Memorial Chapel with Rev. Roger Lusk officiating. Doug will be laid to rest in Lusk Cemetery, at Baisden.

Casketbearers will be Jonathan Adkins, David Adkins, Jr., Eric Reed, Chris Walls, Harry Blankenship and David Adkins.

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://www.adamtolermemorialfuneralhome.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/118_111476.jpg" alt="James A. Gross" />KOPPERSTON-James Avil Gross 74, departed this life Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at his residence followng a long illness.


Born January 29, 1937, in Whitehouse, Kentucky he was the son of the late Beecher and Nancy Blevins Gross.


Mr. Gross was a 1955, graduate of Meade Memorial High School, was employed at Eastern Associated Coal for 30 years. He enjoyed hunting with all his friends, gardening and spending time with his family especially in recent years at the old homeplace in Hammond, Kentucky.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Charleslena Gross and Lorraine Gross Trull.


Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Alice Gross of Kopperston; a son, James Todd Gross and wife, Becky of Charleston, SC.; a daughter, Vickie Gross of Charleston, SC.; a brother, Scott Gross and wife, Jamie of Flatwoods, Kentucy; two sisters, Sue Manring and husband, Phil of Columbus, Ohio, and Linda Bussell and husband, Wayne of Lexington, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Adam Redden, Ciara Gross and Kyla Gross; and a host of family and friends.


In keeping with Mr. Gross wishes his body was cremated.


A memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2011, at Adam Toler Memorial Chapel with Brother Eddie Tilley officiating. 


The family will recieve friends from noon until time of service at funeral home.

Betsy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends she will be dearly missed&nbsp;by all who knew her.<br /></span>

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://www.adamtolermemorialfuneralhome.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/118_105658.jpg" alt="Randell Irick" /><p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">GLEN FORK-Randell Ray Irick 50, departed this life Tuesday, October 18, 2011, following a sudden illness.<br /><br />Born April 23, 1961, in Pineville, WV he was the son of the late Andrew J. Irick, Sr., and Vella M. Redden Irick.<br /><br />Randell was a graduate of Glen Rogers High School,&nbsp;a devoted and loving husband, father and a dedicated coal miner for over 18 years having worked for Double Bonus, he was an avid&nbsp;outdoorsman which included hunting, camping, riding 4-wheelers.&nbsp; He also enjoyed working on cars, carpentry and spending time with his family. Randell was a loved husband, father and son and will be greatly missed.<br /><br />In addition to his father he was preceded in death by two brothers, Randy Ray Irick and and Ronald Irick; a special nephew, Ronald Donald Lafferty, Jr.; mother-in-law, Donna J. Blankenship; two brother-in-laws, Dale Byars and Robert McGraw.<br />&nbsp;<br />Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 20 years, Tamberly Irick of Glen Fork; a son, Tyler Irick at home; a daughter, Raelyn Irick at home; from a previous marriage, a son, Shawn Irick and a daughter, Nikki Irick; his mother, Vella Irick of Glen Fork; two brothers, Roger Irick and wife, Cathy and Jackie Irick and wife, Gaye all of Glen Fork; four sisters, Lucy Lilly and husband, Ted of Beckley, Norma McGraw of Glen Fork, Barbara Byars of Ravencliff and Brenda Irick and companion, Carrie of Clear Creek; four grandchildren, Maddie, Landon, Nathaniel and Kaleb; thirteen nephews, Chad and Zach Irick, Johnny and William Irick, Mickey Dale and Dustin Byars, James and Michael McGraw, Joshua Lafferty, Corey and Tyler Stover, Brendan and Hydan Nash;&nbsp;eleven nieces, Taylor Lusk, Alicia Nash, Missy Sue and Jenny Dawn, Ashley Irick, Tonya,&nbsp;Christy, Keely Stover, Angie Simon, Patty and Missy; his father-in-law, Earl G. Blankenship of Cyclone; two sister-in-laws, Michele Lusk and husband, Fabian of Kopperston and&nbsp;Stephanie Blankenship and companion, Brian of Cyclone and a host of family and friends.<br />&nbsp;<br />A celebration of Randell's life will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday, October 23, 2011 at Adam Toler Memorial Chapel with Rev.&nbsp;Lucian Brown officiating. Randell will be laid to rest in Glen Fork Community Cemetery.</span></p>

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://www.adamtolermemorialfuneralhome.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/118_105168.jpg" alt="Dixie Nutter" /><p><span style="\">CYCLONE-Dixie Nutter 88, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 8, 2011, at Logan Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family following a long illness.<br />&nbsp;<br />Born April 30, 1923, in Cyclone she was the daughter of the late John and Anna Laura Miller Elkins.<br />&nbsp;<br />Mrs. Nutter was a homemaker, the last survivor of her immediate family.&nbsp; She loved attending Toler Baptist Church, enjoyed listening to gospel music, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. <br />&nbsp;<br />In addition to her parents she was preceded her husband, Roy Edward Nutter; a son, Russell Nutter; grandson, Harold Crouse; a step-grandson, Brian Cobb;&nbsp; three brothers, Buster Elkins, Calvin Elkins and Herbert Elkins; a half brother, Burton Gibson; four sisters, Vonda Maynor, Icy Elkins, and twin sisters, Mary and Martha Elkins; and a half sister, Edith Blankenship.<br />&nbsp;<br />Those left to cherish her memory are three sons, Donald \"Wilkie\" Elkins of Oak Hill, Homer \"Ed\" Nutter and wife, Mary of Oceana and Franklin Nutter of Anstead; three daughters, Nancy Gibson of Cyclone, Wanda Cobb and husband, Jerry of Davin and Dorothy Brooks of Kopperston; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.<br />&nbsp;<br />A celebration of Mrs. Nutter\'s life will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2011, at Toler Baptist Church at Cyclone with Rev. Clarence Gibson, Rev. Roland Cook and Rev.
